Customs Clearance for Tracked Packet

I searched for this, but did not see it on the boards. On the Canada Post website the Customs Clearance option is greyed out (not available) for Tracked Packet, but is available for Expedited. I was wondering if this makes a difference in deciding which option to use.

I read the description of each option on the CP website, but I wondered if someone more familiar with customs could comment.

That takes you to the English or French entry page, Poco.

Re: Customs Clearance for Tracked Packet

You have to click on the USA tab for that web page.

I would not worry about the customs clearance. The item will still get there.

I do find the one descriptions of each service to be a bit amusing. Marketing blah blah without any real information.

Also there is a mistake in the information for Tracked packet USA with a maximum weight of 2 kg when it is really 1 kg. Hover your mouse over the "i" in dimension for Tracked Packet to see the dimensions and weight.

PS The 2 kg limit for TP USA should get a good reaction from Tom, LOL.

Re: Customs Clearance for Tracked Packet

inuk, click on the English page and you will continue on to the page. Once you have the language chosen, a browser cookie will be kept and the language question should not pop up again. At least for me it worked this way.

This page has a new web page design compared to the old look. I suppose many issues will happen with the CP web site in the next few weeks if they are changing the look of the CP web site..

Re: Customs Clearance for Tracked Packet

Yes, that is the page, sorry for not posting the link. (And also for not specifying that it was for the U.S.)

Thank you for your replies.
