I would like to sell a coin collection of US Coins and would like to know how to fill out the customs form.
Can I just put US Coin Collection Quantity = 1 and the total weight
or do I have to itemize each item with weight and quantities of each type of coin
Any help would be appreciated.

First choice. No need for complete details, I might even leave off the US and just go with "Coin Collection".
But you might need to break it up into base metal and precious metal weight groups -- depends where It's being shipped to.

All you really need is "coins"!
If you want to get fancy (and a little more obtuse) "Numismatic Supplies".

Coins are more attractive to thieves than Numismatic Supplies.
The HS number for coins other than gold is 71181000.
For gold coins it's 7118900099.

During your history of selling "Tokens" wink wink, on eBay, how have the INR's been? Mysteriously disappearing in route? I would be nervous whenever there was a declaration included for International shipping.

Never had any problems -- none were sent tracked. Most were low value shipments (under $30) via small packet air.

Problems with packages disappearing from customers? Please ask them to interview all the Fido's in the neighbourhood to investigate.

I'm not certain as to the specifics or what your selling, as coins are out of my specialty and a large area of interest but look into Section 9705.00.00 specifically the .50 and .65 areas. Learn what the distinctions are your coins could qualify. This means they would be Duty Free and not section 321 so if they sold over the $800 de minimus... they could be Duty Free up to $2500.
9705.00.00 - "Collections and collectors' pieces of zoological, botanical, minealogical, anatomical, historical, archeological, paleontological, ethnographic or NUMERISTIC interest.
Numismatic (collector's coins, other than archeological pieces:
.10 - 250 years or more in age: Gold
.40 - "" Other
.50 - Other: Gold
.65 - "" Other
Yes state the quantity, the code, the metal and the amount sold.
