Anyone using Stallion to ship out their items? I need help filling out the Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) form since item is made in China but of course no reply from Stallion.

I sold 2 items whose labels indicate that they were made in China.  How do I found out manufacturers' details (ie. name & address)?

1. hat : company name is Canadian but has since closed so I can't even call customer service.

2. makeup: an American company but item manufactured in China. Will customer service even know the manufacturer details?

If the manufacturer is defunct or unknown, you have to use DDU to ship (which I don't think Stallion is supporting right now because of all the problems with DDU shipments made in China passing through Chicago).

You will need to put your items in inventory on Stallion and provide the manufacturer info there, and Customs has to approve it (which can take a few days) before the DDP will be available to use.

Whoever sold you the goods should be able to provide you manufacturer info (if the company still exists), but they may be unwilling to do so because they want to sell you more items and not have you buy them directly from the manufacturer.

Unsure if everyone got or saw but received the following message from eBay at beginning of June that included a survey regarding eBay and Customs. There was a survey directly intended for sellers. (It is still live for anyone interested.) You may have received but it went to your spam folder by accident. The survey covers your suggestions, if you would be interested in being a tester for new options and any concerns. It was aimed at sellers who use CP, couriers, Chit Chats etc. Based on the survey eBay is "contemplating" collecting tariffs in advance. Personally, highly unrecommended but your opinion may vary.

Thanks for that info.

1. How do I put my items in inventory on Stallion?

2. What happens if the company is defunct - as in the case with the hat?

3. What if company CSR doesn't know/ won't provide manufacturer's name - as in the case with the makeup?

1. Makeup is going to Asia via PostNL - so should I be ok or will it be an issue still since it's passing through Chicago ?

2. Hat is going to the US via USPS - so I guess I'll still have to fill out the DDU?

1. Go to "orders" in Stallion (left side) and select "products" from the options on top.

2. & 3. As per Stallion when I asked them similar questions, if you cannot provide manufacturer info, you have to ship with DDU. Perhaps a web search might help you find what you need. I might be inclined to use the former details of the defunct manufacturer (if they're not gone too long) provided I had invoices to substantiate the information I was putting in.

PostNL - I don't know where their shipments pass. Keep in mind if Customs rejects this DDU shipment you will not get the item back and you will have to refund the customer. Not trying to scare you, just helping you think through what you're going to do so you can make a good decision.

For the hat going USPS, is that with Canada Post shipping first? You can't use Stallion to send the hat USPS if it's made in China, it has to be Canada Post as a DDU shipment.
