Help with variations listing

I'm trying to list t-shirts for sale. I have selected a fixed price listing, and I have selected the following category: Clothing, Shoes & Accessories > Men > Men's Clothing > Shirts > T-Shirts

My problem is when I click the "Create Variations" button, the default variations displayed are "Fabric Type" and "Accents". There is no "Size" variation available. If I attempt to create my own size attribute I get the error message "This attribute isn't valid for this variation. Add a valid attribute.".

I haven't selected any size-related options that eBay suggest, or any options at all - I created the listing title, chose the category and selected the Fixed Price listing and went straight to "Create Variations".

Can anyone provide some insight here?

Hmmm... size should be an attribute for shirts. Have you tried experimenting with a different category? It may be a bug...

Start with size type (Regular, Tall, Petite etc.)

Then set up Large, Medium, XL, etc.
