Yes, I just did yesterday. I got an immediate message the item will be late. I suggest you remove the 2nd tracking completely. It's what I did.

So you can purchase the label and then simply remove it, and it just goes back to the original tracking (which is still there?) as if nothing happened?

Exactly! After I purchased the 2nd label, two were shown. I removed the recent one, and it's what it shows now:

Hmmm......Knowing ebay, this sounds a little too neat and tidy and easy, and nothing is ever easy for sellers.  Some admin of another thread just responded to my question by direct message to my inbox saying there is NO workaround for this problem, and they had to call ebay to deal with it...

Can you be 100% sure that that second tracking isn't still lurking around recorded in ebay's system, even though you are able to physically remove it from the tracking page?

You may want to check your dashboard and do a deep look into that transaction or pull up a report to see if it gets recorded as a late shipment. It might show up in a month or whenever your next update is for the next monthly cycle. I have had weird suprises like that before that take a month or two to show up

Yes, I am sure. I am an experienced seller, with more than 30.000 transactions on several Ebay accounts.

Here is the order details record - the 2nd label, printed yesterday, is not mentioned anywhere at all.

The second tracking, which is different, is also not shown anywhere.

I understand that you said it's removed and is not visible anywhere. That's not my point. I'm saying that until time has gone by until AFTER your next monthly update, there is no way to be fully sure that ebays internal system won't use it when calculating late shipments on your dashboard. And since you said you JUST did it yesterday, that time period hasn't elapsed yet. I have been one ebay since '98, the amount of times I've had to call to resolve something that I thought was cleared up , I've lost count.

I think you exaggerate a little bit - I am here since almost 30 years and saw almost everything, but not a  tracking suddenly appearing from nowhere. OK, let us wait until the second shipment arrives to its destination (the first one - shipped 10 weeks ago - was "lost" - at least it's what the buyer said).

I did wait until the update, as you suggested. The item has been delivered 10 days ago, fully tracked. And as I expected, nothing happened - I was not dinged for the late delivery (according to the new tracking, the item would be more than 2 months late). It proves the 2nd tracking was not recorded by the system at all.

BTW, I was dinged for providing fake tracking in the domestic US section.  I forgot to combine 2 orders into one and added the 2nd tracking manually. As a result, the same tracking numer is "good" and "bad" at once. But this is another story, already discussed here a few months ago. Apparently, the bug has not been fixed since months (or years), and nobody cares ...

From personal experience (in the past few months) when I have added a second tracking number (either a void,  correction or replacement shipment) eBay's links the 2 tracking numbers together directly indirectly. If you enter the 2nd number after your standards for shipping eBay flags it as late. It's a known glitch that ebay is aware of as per CS. Even if the tracking for  the correct shipment shows the item as dropped off and processed at depot, that info does not jive (correct itself) within eBay. The shipment may or may not arrive on time you will still get the other ding for shipping "late". You can request to have it removed but no guarantees it will be.

As a side if you update the UR tracking number for Small Packet Intl air you have to do it immediately. With eBay labels system enters a transaction id (which doesn't even display on the label)    but NOT the UR version of tracking.

The situation was a little bit different here: Ebay added the 2nd tracking, but I have removed it immediately (+/- 10 seconds?), so only the 1st one (not traceable small packet UK) was shown.

..and here is the proof that the item is marked as "delivered" in the UK mail system.

I wish we'd get proof of delivery like that!

There was a point in time where most CP packages included signature automatically. Covid/community mailboxes threw that concept out the window. Now it is more of a country to country scenario. It's not super helpful that only the premium cp services include the signature option.

Just checked recent tracked shipment to Denmark with CP. CP confirms delivery. Denmark post with the app will show you a photo confirmation of item being delivered.

Italian mail only shows signed for with name. Matches CP.

Older tracking with eBay now gets locked after  75 days. Available in CP for atleast 1 year.
