I sold a book of afghans last night. This morning when I went to address it, I checked as I always do to make sure I have the correct book by clicking on the link of the sale. I get a message to say that this item is no longer available, but they are giving me another afghan book as an option.
I tried putting in the number-Nothing.

This is an ongoing issue that a few of us have complained about. Instead of showing the original sold item, it says the listing is no longer available & shows you something similar being sold by someone else. The only way around it right now is to click on the word "listing" in the message at the top left hand & it will show you the original item that was sold. Very annoying!

Rather than start from scratch, you should have been able to use sell similar from selling manager or sellers hub.

Has this silly change been reported to eBay staff?
It may be useful for shoppers, but it is not helpful to those actually involved in a transaction.
Thanks for the tip about "listing" @2nd-time-around-jewelry

I reported it both on the discussion boards & also to Tyler on the June 6th chat. He said they were looking into it but haven't heard anything or seen any changes made.

Thanks for the help. I had a duplicate of this book and had to completely redo the listing to relist it, I never thought of clicking on "listing".

If someone wants to see similar items, they aren't going to click on a completed listing so I really don't like the feature although it does not seem as widespread as it was a couple of weeks ago. At first I noticed that happening with my own listings too but lately I've been able to access most closed listing so perhaps there is a new glitch?
I suppose if someone sees the item on google, then yes, taking them to a similar listing might be helpful but if you are on ebay and can see that the listing has ended and click to see that particular listing, it is just irritating to be taken to a different one. In some cases, the listing isn't even for the same thing!

Thanks, I have avoided the hub so far, I didn't think about relisting from selling manager.
