Offers

My listing had a bid price with best offer option.
A buyer send an email to find out what I would accept and I replied with  " I would accept at least this amount"

Then my item was sold for that amount and the buyer already paid.

My question is how did he made that sale final?

The decision to accept, counter or decline were taken out of my hands.

Re: Offers

Your ebay Seller Central is telling you that the item was sold? (emails can be faked)

For offers did you have "accept over $ value" selected for the listing?

Re: Offers

Do not ship until you see the money in your Paypal account.

But if you had your Best Offer set up to accept automatically offer over a certain amount, there is no problem.

I do think a bit about someone who emails to ask about what Best Offer would be acceptable, on a listing with Best Offer option showing.

Re: Offers

It is showing processing in the payment section just like all my sold items.
I will wait till proceesing is completed before shipping.

Ebay is now using their payment system and not Paypal even though I have a Paypal account.

I had the best offer option setup without automatic accept or decline.

Re: Offers

Problem solved...thanks for replying.

I have similar items that ended and when I relisted them, I found that I did have automatic accept for over a certain amount on some of the listings.
