Turbo lister won't upload items with low quality pictures

Hi, I am trying to list a bunch of items (in the neighbourhood of 17000). I have uploaded these items before without issue. Now though, I'm getting an error saying that buyers love images that clearly show the item, please upload pictures that are 500 pixels or wider. It's funny because I am getting this error on some pictures I took with my SLR camera.

Is there a way to disable this and be able to proceed with uploading them?

eBay has had the 500 pixel minimum since July 1 but only started slickly enforcing it in the past week or so. The 500 pixel minimum was announced was first announced 2 years ago.

You will have to have larger pictures to list.

What is the benefit to use Turbo lister?  I have seen many complaints, glitch, etc., etc., about this feature for so long, so I wonder what is the heck it is so special about using Turbo lister if there are so much erorrs??

Can't you relist by bulk like up to 200 or is it too slow for you?

It's a good program, it's just a pain in the butt. Always something going wrong with it. It's still the best of a bad lot.

Re: Turbo lister won't upload items with low quality pictures

Another TL issue is that TL resized all pictures to 400 pixels on the longest side. This was a bug that existed for 1-2-3 years but no one noticed since there was no minimum before July 1st 2013.  eBay TL programmers finally fixed this bug in mid June just two weeks before the July 1 requirement for 500 pixels minimum.

So most listings in Turbo Listed created before July 1st may have had their pictures resized down to 400 pixels unknown to you. Since there was no enforcement of the 500 pixel minimum until now, you are just finding out about it.

I have also read in the eBay.com TL forum that the 400 pixel bug was not fixed totally and that intermittently some listings uploaded after July 1st with pictures over 500 pixels were resized back to 400 pixels. This caused issues with relisting again with 400 pixel pictures. I do not know if this is true but there were sporadic complaints about this in the TL forums over the summer.

I use the eBay online SYI (Sell your Item form to list and use Turbo Lister to back up my listings.  Many of these older listings have the 400 pixel issue if I need to relist them. It seems to have stopped after mid June but I cannot tell which are from before with the 400 pixel problem or after. I did not keep track of it.  If a picture is showing as too small in TL, I still have the originals to add back in at the correct size.

Now I have only a few listings so it is easy for me. But 1700 listings is a lot of work to put back the photos if the 400 pixel issue is your problem.

I hope that you figure this out and fix it. You might want to check in at the eBay.com TL forum.

Hmm, how can it be a good program if there are always issues with it. Maybe conceptually the idea of a free tool to list with and store you listings is a good idea. However, implementation of the idea through TL is just terrible.

I have TL installed for 5 years and use it only to backup my listings created online with the eBay SYI form for future reference if I need the description and pricing. I have tried to use it but way too unreliable from personal experience and all the horror stories on the eBay.com TL forum.

I know some sellers use it without many issues but TL burned me more than once. I know about compressing the database, deleting activity, etcetera. Way too much maintenance to keep it working if you can.

I do wonder where eBay is going with listing tools. They dropped Blackthorne which used to be their better product that you paid for. I would imagine eBay would love to drop TL too. It must cost them lots of money and manpower to keep it up to date with the eBay sites as well as fixing it constantly for bugs they introduce.

You should look into Wonder Lister. It can manage a photo album, bulk list, edit and manage listings. I tried it about a few months ago and i love it. U also only pay for how much u need. so if you only need less than 50 active listings a month its like 5 bucks which, for the features it has, is really cheap
