Double Listing, Same Item, Different Price?

seller has everything listed twice, both listings with a flat rate BIN but one listing for sale at a higher price than the other. My guess all are sponsored and they are trying to game the search results with "look its a bargain" purchase incentive.

Has anyone run into this before? Not to grass, but isn't his ebay-illegal?

This looks like quite a large operation (and your references to the account name will likely be edited out soon as it’s not eBay-legal to name and shame users on the discussion boards).

Not commenting on the “eBay-legality” of double-listings, but could it be that there is—or was—more than one individual in charge of producing eBay listings and the left hand didn’t/doesn’t know what the right hand was/is doing? How much time difference is there in the listing dates between some of the duplicate listings?

Only if it is the same unique item.

Listing two items that are in hand and otherwise identical is not eBay -illegal.

Are you looking at paintings, which would be unique or at prints which would not necessarily?
