They didn't remove the bots.
They stopped recording bot visits as Views.
This seems to have included our own peeks at our listings and eBay's views.
There has been a drop in internet commerce generally, but compare your last month of sales to May 2019 or May 2018.
Comparisons to 2020 and 2021 are outliers because of the pandemic surge in online shopping, which has stopped abruptly.
Over the last 3 days, I've noticed a big jump in watchers all of a sudden. They had almost completely vanished for about a month. I don't know if it's a shift in the market or if eBay fixed a bug somewhere, but it's worth keeping an eye on.
Selling is about the product - its uniqueness, quality, supply & demand, target market, etc.
If the purchase bots are buying up all the hot items/high demand items, the low demand/less desirable items will see little action...
SUPPLY & DEMAND play a big factor in sales as does the desirability of any product/item, at any time anywhere...
Trends come, trends go, buyer habits change...
In the past majority of my traffic was generated with eBay. After IS it switched to external.
That was the promise wasn't it? that IS would be seen by Google and other search engines?
Which would mean a surge in the number of Bot Views.

Bots are robots. They have been set to Search the web for certain words and eBay's Item Specifics (IS) were meant to give them something to find, since independent sellers, like any herd of cats, are bound and determined to do it our way not their way.
closed me store down for a month (April 8th to May 5th-ish) since we had a newborn.
Yes.
When you have a slowdown in sales, or take a vacation, or as in your case welcome a baby (and congratulations Best wishes for a long and healthy life.)
It's related to having a sale to Colorado and suddenly getting two or three sales there which never happened before.
I don't know about your neck of the woods, but where I am. gasoline prices have more than doubled since this time last year. This affects transportation costs and, thus, the cost of just about everything. People are likely going to cut back on their spending on knick-knacks and collectibles as a result.
Join the club. My sales have plummeted.
Thinking of a garage sale if they don't pick back up and be done with eBay.
What is "bots"?
I've had several flip flops for traffic since the the updates to Category IS changes and the removal of Bot views. All makes very little sense. In the past majority of my traffic was generated with eBay. After IS it switched to external. Now it is "kinda" back to eBay but a trickle. Item sales are for new listings. Feels like anything created in the past is getting very limited eyes. Comparisons attached from the archives.First 2 screenshots are 2021. Other 3 are 2022. Results will vary depending on the categories you list in.

Mine have plummeted lately. I closed me store down for a month (April 8th to May 5th-ish) since we had a newborn. Since returning, sales just haven't been even half of what it was prior to shutting down temporarily. This week in particular is absolutely pathetic, sad to see. Hoping it picks up soon, since last year was very profitable, I had to pay the gvmt a good chunk of $ and was hoping for more sales at the moment.
