It looks beautiful there Nan!

I grew up in Prince Albert so not too far from that area. I do miss the lakes and parks there.

Sometimes we don't apreciate what we have until we see it through someone elses eyes. We are about 80 mile north of P.A.

Smart man and organization. He said "we just didn't want to keep getting bigger and bigger" which is an intelligent move. Instead of bigger and bigger, just get better and move diverse.

Very cool location.

To "nan"--

I once had the opportunity to tour almost the entire province of Saskatchewan many, many years ago with somone who grew up in Carrot River (that's probably near your neck of the woods??), and as an Ontario native, I was surprised and overwhelmed by the diversity and beauty of the province.

I've never forgotten the impression that trip made on me.  But then this is a beautiful, incredible land from sea to sea, isn't it?

In 2011 we trekked all the way across from Vancouver Island to Nova Scotia by car (the 2nd time in my life I've done that; the 1st was in the other direction in a VW beetle), and it's something I'd recommend to every Canadian.  It's one huge, impressive country we have!

It is a beautiful country we live in. I have never had the opportunity to travel east. But soon I hope 🙂

Surprisingly alot of people think Sask is flat. And are very surprised when I tell them I also live 1 mile from a ski-hill. (Check out Ski Timber Ridge)

When I worked for Tourism Canada, I had the opportunity to visit Saskatoon, one of the best kept secrets in Canada.

I was impressed that the downtown had almost no empty storefronts and most were owner-in-th-store operations.

Even the weather was wonderful.

I later visited in mid-winter for my nephew's wedding. Still loved the city in spite of the insane cold!

OK, I know where this gorgeous place is - Kalamatka Falls [Katamalka??], or something like that, right?  North of Superior.  We stopped to gaze in wonder during our trip before we carried on eastward.  Please correct my recall of the name.

And to give you a little sampling of what to expect in Nova Scotia, here's picturesque Granville Ferry seen from the Annapolis Royal waterfront:
