AdCommerce

So..... just activated a campaign to see if and how this works.

One has to leave it to eBay management when it come to ways of making sellers part with money 🙂

Re: AdCommerce

Took them 11 days to reply. I guess they went to eBay school to learn customer service 🙂

SO, I did set up the campaign today although it will be of limited value as buyers have to be on ebay.ca, which represents less than 2% of our customers.

Oh well, might as well use up the $50 coupon although it sounds as if this will only apply to the first invoice with no carry-over if not used up by the end of the month.

Re: AdCommerce

"Took them 11 days to reply"

That was fast!

I applied on May 15th (nearly three weeks ago) and have not yet received the courtesy iof a reply.

In the meantime, my small keyword campaign on eBay.uk and eBay.com for a specific item offered at auction is doing well with over 6,700 impressions (mostly on eBay.uk) and 21 clicks (8 on .com and 13 on .uk) at a cost of only $ 1.55.

So far the auction listing (ending today) has received the most hits of any auction listings I have had in years with a large number of viewers - already attracting 11 bids well above my pre-listing expectations (US$125-$175).

It was well worth it (for a change!) 😉

I applied a few weeks ago as well and have not had any response yet.

Did anyone sign up for the $20 April voucher (for ebay listings and stores)?
Just curious if you received the $20 voucher. I signed up for it and never received it. I have sent numerous email with no response. There customer service is terrible!!

No.

I guess the folks at eBay don't like me much these days! 😞

Re: AdCommerce

Well, I'm going to try it this month in conjunction with a sale and see if anything happens.

Pierre, what's the process for getting the refund on fees when you bring customers in from off-site?

I know you explained it earlier, but I forgot the details. -------------------------------------------------------------------

Re: AdCommerce

For information on the store referral credit program, check this http://pages.ebay.ca/help/sell/referral-credit-faq.html

Basically, you set up a link on your website sending folks to your eBay store and get 75% discount on FVF for items purchased during their visit. Links can also be set up in email messages, etc...

Re: AdCommerce

Thanks.

I'm going to announce the sale on some forums - might as well get credit for it. -------------------------------------------------------------------

I earn between US$50 to $100 every month through referral credits - it's painless. 😉

Re: AdCommerce

I have a stupid question.

Where's the link to get back to the Adcommerce page? -------------------------------------------------------------------

Re: AdCommerce

Thank you - I forgot to bookmark it before and, of course, ebay doesn't have ANY reference to it in their Help section (Duh!) -------------------------------------------------------------------

Re: AdCommerce

Not bad - 11 clicks the first day ( And, suddenly, I have orders again).

My Traffic reports are sure hopeful - this morning they were predicting 750 visits, now they've scaled it back to 500 ( I'm at about 200 now, about equal to all of yesterday) -------------------------------------------------------------------

Re: AdCommerce

It's a shame that Omniture doesn't break out the clicks from AdCommerce as a separate item - would be interesting to see it in the pie chart. -------------------------------------------------------------------

Re: AdCommerce

"this morning they were predicting... '

I found the morning or early afternoon "predictions" to be totally without merit. Not sure how they calculate their projections but they never made sense.

I suspect the problem may be caused by a misunderstanding between Omniture and eBay about time zones, resulting in Omniture dividing the numbers of clicks by fewer hours than actual - thereby showing larger projections.

If Omniture gives you 2,000 hits a day and AdCommerce charges for 40, you know that 2% of your traffic was generated by AdCommerce!

I always like them because they're so over-the-top, though.

Re: AdCommerce

I am enjoying the $50 and am only sorry I didn't jump on it the first time it came around. I am anxious to see if it affects my sales (of course I know it will to some degree). I love that I can advertise on other eBay sites to drive traffic into my .com store without all the hassle of listing on an international site.

If you are going to go with this, try all sorts of different things to see what works. I added several new campaigns today and will add more in the next few days. Advertise wherever you can, categories, sub-categories, relevant categories, international sites. You control how much you want to spend per click/per day and you only pay a penny per click if you're the only game in town.

Re: AdCommerce

I've already done that - I have ads in categories I never list in.

Predictably, the main categories are producing the most clicks, but I'm getting a few from elsewhere.

Now I'm thinking of sneaking over to The River and using THEIR equivalent service to snag some of their clients.]:) -------------------------------------------------------------------
