Be Aware of Your Prices on Boxing Day

Just looking at the Boxing Day flyer for one of the Big Box Electronics Store.

Recently bought my New HP Tower two weeks ago with Windows 7 for what they advertsed as a Special Price of 399.

The Boxing Day Flyer is advertising the exact same tower, same model number for the Special Price of 499.

Isn't capitalism wonderful.

Boxing Day prices have not been good this year. Seems a lot of retailers are marking up item pre-sale and then offering them at the price prior to being marked up.

I used to look forward to the Boxing Day sales, but for the first time in years, I have not bought anything for Boxing Week. The Canadian Black Friday sales were much better and I bought enough to build a new i7 quad-core computer with an SSD, case, etc., for less than $400.

Finally able to retire my 7 year old Dell dual core, lol.

Re: Be Aware of Your Prices on Boxing Day

HP Tower i bought for the flyer advertised Special Price of 399, exact same model advertised in the Boxing Day flyer for the Special Price of 499, now in yesterdays flyer, same tower advertised for the Special Price of 399. The original price i paid a couple of weeks back.

Too funny. Guess they didn't sell enough on Boxing Day with the 100. increase in price.

Taking advantage of the clueless or just good business?

Re: Be Aware of Your Prices on Boxing Day

Sometimes goods deals are in January-March, when people have exhausted their purchasing and paying off their credit cards and retailers are scrambling for cash, some basically give inventory close to their cost to keep the cash flowing.
