Blocked From Bidding

Hi, just wondering about some sellers. I had bought two different transactions on sports hobby boxes from this one particular seller in the past.

I then won another baseball hobby box in July. After I had won the bid I asked if he had anymore of the same item to sell. He said all the boxes he had were posted on ebay.

I paid for the item and it was delivered.

Then in October I tried to bid on another item from this seller and a page comes up that the seller is no longer taking bids from me.

I then contacted the seller, he had also blocked contact. I had to ask a question using the purchase page of the hobby box bought in July.

I checked all correspondence in my message center and the only time I contacted him was to ask if he had any more of a certain hobby box.

I asked him why I was blocked and he said he couldn't remember why.

My question here is, Is it bad form to ask a seller if he has anymore product available? THanks!

Seller did not ship to Canada and put block all bidder from the country that he did not ship to.

It's a prizm baseball hobby box and I received it. I get items sent to a mailbox across the border so that's not the problem.

The seller doesn't remember why he blocked me from bidding but the only reason I can think of is I asked a simple question if he had any more prizm baseball hobby boxes.

If this seller blocked me  from bidding because of that reason, that's pretty lame.

Politely ask the seller to remove you from his list of blocked buyers, then.

I tried that but the seller said once he has blocked a bidder, then that bidder is blocked forever. He doesn't remember why he blocked me. It's no wonder some sellers have so much trouble selling on ebay with this attitude. I've never been banned from any store until I came to ebay.

I consider myself very buyer friendly. 

Yet, I have a similar policy.  Once on the blocked list, a user remains on the blocked list, regardless whether I recall why the name was added or not. 

Names are not added on the list for the fun of it.  That is done because at one point I made a decision not to deal with that individual, whatever the reason at the time.  I trust my judgement.
