So you bought a thingamabob, and received it a month ago?
But the thingamabob is not what was described in the listing?
There is a remedy for Item Not As Described, however you have only 45 days from purchase/end of auction to dispute. If that has not passed, open a dispute in the Resolution Centre (top right Customer Support) right now.
If 45 days have passed, and you paid by Paypal, go to the credit card you use with your PP account and call the 1-800 Customer Service number. Explain the problem and ask for a chargeback.
Now.
You will need the dates, prices, transaction numbers etc for the customer service clerk.
The cc will probably want to know how the seller reacted when you explained the problem to him a month ago. You did contact him, I hope?
You will probably be told to return the item using a Delivery Confirmed service, like ExpressPost. You will not be reimbursed for this.
I hope this never happens again, but if it does, be aware that prompt action is necessary.
