Canada Post - Xpresspost USA - Signature capture or not??

Depending on what webpage you land on or who you talk to there is no clarity on whether Xpresspost USA includes signature capture currently (after jan 16, 2012).    I can find answers online showing both yes and no.  Most current update  showing 'yes' is at:

...I hate forums, Im not looking for a thread of speculators or new buddies please....just someone who uses it often and has received a signature viewable online and can just confirm/reply with a simple yes or no  please would be helpful.  Thank you very much.

Signature service is not availalbe for XPRESSPORT USA.

According to CanadaPOST they have not contracted with USPS to provide SIGNATURE SERVICE for XPRESSPORT shipments.

The only service from CanadaPOST w./Signature is for PRIORITY POST but this service is provided by FEDEX and not USPS so that is why you get SIGNATURE SERVICE plus not to mention you cannot use this service for any parcels - only DOCUMENTS.

That used to be true but xpresspost USA has included a signature for about the last year.

I asked this very question at my local Post Office yesterday and the answer is yes a signature is included with Xpresspost USA.

I used express post couple week ago and I saw the receiver signature on the tracking from canada post website.

I had a few parcels shipped by XP Expedited USA last week and CO website shows;

2012/06/02  11:26  90504,USA Item successfully delivered

- no signature. (I did not request nor pay for signature)

Day before, same thing:

2012/06/01  15:53  90504,USA  Item successfully delivered

- no signature

Well you guys cans think what you want when it comes to CanadaPOST Xpresspost service.

However, I can say that their service to the USA has greatly improved from last year and parcels are getting delivered much quicker.

Perhaps I'm missing your point but there would have been no way for you to request or pay for the signature since expedited USA does not have that option.

However, Xpresspost USA does include a signature.:-)

I rarely use xpresspost to the U.S but it does seem that expedited is slightly faster to the U.S. now than it used to be.
