Hi, I just clicked on the 'Buy it Now' button on a DVD. The seller had said that they do not ship to international locations but since ebay said there are exceptions I thought I would ask him to make an exception. Apparently he doesn't want to. Then he sent me a request to cancel it. In my order status it says that I still need to pay for the item. I haven't used ebay in a long time so I'm not sure if they have any past payment information from me or not... So my question is, if I cancel the transaction, will they still charge me somehow? I'm sorry if this comes off as a dumb question. I just haven't used ebay in a long while and I sense by his attitude that the seller is not going to answer my questions properly.
Do they charge me if I cancel?

If you accept the request to cancel, the transaction ends, the seller gets the fees he paid to eBay for the sale back, both of you are free of the transaction and both of you can leave feedback.
If you don't feel that you can leave positive feedback it would be most polite to leave none at all.
It is a good idea to ask a seller before bidding whether or not he ships to Canada, what the charge would be, and if he uses USPS for shipping.
