Extorsion and blackmail from buyer

I received the following message from a bad buyer ;

I phoned trust and safety, she told me over the phone that it is ebay policy to support the buyer with his extortion and blackmail attempt, therefore they will not remove the negative.

This is a very dangerous first.

Both coins... have the same look...  but not necessarily the same coin

However, it would appear that the coin ... (or another coin in a similar situation) .....was not sold in early September... as per OP's problems

The question is : how should a seller react when facing such repeated negative feedback?

Go to court and sue the buyer?

• You can submit 5 Feedback revision requests for every 1,000 Feedback you've received in the past 12 consecutive months. High-volume sellers (who earn more than 1,000 Feedback per year) can send more requests.

In any event, how does all of this appear to the buyer? Buyer probably figured they were in for a quick flip and to make $2000. It "appears" to the buyer as if the seller saw this as well and pulled the plug by refusing to ship. Seller slams the buyer, the buyer retaliates. Seller now wants eBay to do something. eBay is probably willing to let the seller twist in the wind on this one as two negs in a row, same thing, follwed by a $3000 sale of the same thing.

Regardless of what actually transpired, this looks bad.

eBay has a bit of a pogrom going where they seem to weeding out anti-buyer sellers. Been a lot of those banished sellers showing up on SC dot com the last month.

Sounds like a smart business person. I don't see anything unethical about this transaction from the Buyers end.

I can only base my opinion on his Feedback Left For Others which seem to model his confrontational posts in the past.

OPs Credibility is definitely in question.

IMHO The seller sold something he could not deliver. The buyer has a right to an opinion about this and his feedback should stand.

P.S. The message from the buyer is not readable now. The buyer should not make threats...but he should have a right to "rate" the transaction.

You all assuming to much, i actually refunded all 3 gold coins i was allocated, the other buyers knows i'm a man of high morality and just like me doesn't to burn his bridges. The market place has greatly changed in the last 4 months. the RCM has been flooding the market this year.

Now the smart way to run any coin business is to move inventory as quickly as possible at a much reduce profit and move on to the next launch.

I'm going to make myself very clear;

You know that would never be allowed on eBay yet you have found a way to work the system on Kijiji.
