Feedback demands

Had a buyer purchase 4 items 3 days ago. They paid today, and an hour later I get this email:

"Hi-I will most likely not be leaving any feedback for you, certainly not positive. I have completed my part of the transaction

and you haven't left feedback. You are clearly waiting until I leave feedback. Wrong. If I do leave feedback, it will accurately

reflect your actions as a seller. Or should I say the new popular withholding of feedback. "

I don't think I want to point out that they took 3 days to pay, and then expect me to leave feedback within an hour!

"Sorry I was tardy. I just got back from the hospital after recovering from surgery. I gave a kidney to a complete stranger whom I happened to match exactly."

Re: Feedback demands

Sheesh gotta love those ones, usually explain an 'automated' system, posts 'automatically' within 12 to 24 hours of payment. 'Unmonitored by us', 'automatic upon payment' sorry sorry apologies ect ect..... i use merlin auto feedback, totally true.... seems to calm the situation.

Re: Feedback demands

Just curious:  Do you wait until the buyer leaves FB first before you leave FB or were you just busy this time and a little slower than usual?

Or were you annoyed that the buyer took 3 days to pay.

Just wondering ......:).

Re: Feedback demands

Actually, none of those things. No, I never wait for the buyer to leave feedback. I was not annoyed at waiting 3 days for payment, that is good compared with some of my buyers.

I usually leave feedback about 3 times a week. I am in my 70's and disabled, and I sleep in the afternoons, and mostly only feel well enough to work in the mornings. No-one in 13 years of selling on eBay has complained that I am slow leaving feedback.

I have to admit that for the first few years of selling, I used to leave feedback after the buyer left it, but not for a long time now.

I didn't apologize, just explained my situation and my usual policy. To me, to be demanding feedback and a veiled threat of poor feedback is unacceptable. Another one for my BBL.

Re: Feedback demands

Wasn't there one like this a few years back ?  Sounds familiar.

Can't believe the hair of some buyers.

Re: Feedback demands

It's kind of scary that this is the type of buyer eBay is creating.  Buyers are getting to know that they can manipulate us with feedback and DSR's.  There are tons of good buyers out there too but there seems to be more and more who are just plain vindictive.

Re: Feedback demands

I don't even know if this wouldn't count as feedback manipulation. I would like to ask her which category she would mark me down on? But I won't.
