Hey guys
Usually i have no problem with ebay and this is the 1st time so please help me.
I ordered and paid for a dress on 21 October 2013. I am in Canada so it takes 1 month before I received it. When i got the dress, I realised that I got the wrong dress and the wrong size so I took pictures and contacted the seller who promised to send the right one. It was on the 21 December and I figured since he or she promised, I will just wait. I did not know that I had to report to eBay within 45 days because for me 1 month from the time the wrong item was shipped and another 1 month for the right item to come, it would be OK. I waited after the holidays to contact the seller again and he/she said they did ship it and when I asked to which address they shipped it or what is the confirmation number of the number, they never got back to me. So now I can't get any refund nor complain to eBay nor get the right dress nor use the wrong one they set me since it was not even my size!!!
Please help!! I don't know what to do!!!

Today's lesson. Never accept a replacement. They take too long and there is no reason to believe the replacement will be any better than the original.
I notice that the seller did not ask you to return the incorrect dress. That's good, since it would cost a small fortune ($40 or more). The seller was apparently satisfied with the pictures.
However.
Forget eBay and PP, they cannot help you at this point. They are very firm about the 45 day deadline.
Instead, go to the credit card you used to pay with. (The payment was processed by Paypal so that the seller never sees your cc information.) Call the 1-800 number and give the Customer Service clerk the date, payment including postage, transaction numbers, everything she needs to make your refund.
You have up to 60 days from purchase to leave feedback. The most effective feedback is calm and factual.
At that time you will be asked to give Detailed Seller Ratings. The normal Rating is five stars . The lowest Rating is ONE STAR. No stars is a free pass.
If a seller's DSRs drop below 4.3 her account is restricted and she finds in difficult or impossible to list and sell on eBay.

I am in the same boat as you except that they did not send anything at all. So after a first month and nothing, they said they would resend. Then said they would pay me back and resend. I am now to late for anything, and don't understand that ebay and paypal can allow such a short resolution time, and even worst, such a short feedback time when almost all transactions involve international shipping. Now I just found out that sellers ratings are worth nothing 😞
