I bid on an offering of dichroic glass odds and ends. Had questions. Emailed him. Said if I was Canadian to not bid again. Then he removed the item from my Bid/Offers page. I was the only bidder. I subsequently searched for dichroic glass again, found out it was offered again for bid. Saved it to my watch list. Will never, ever, bid on anything this seller offers. Hope others heed this warning.

I couldn't find a seller with that user name so couldn't check but does the seller actually ship to Canada? Do you have an item number?

Hello 'erniephilip',

The seller removing your bid in this instance may not be the result of anything nefarious.

Many American sellers wish to sell only within the US, and that means they don't want to sell internationally.

Ebay seems unwilling to take 'no' for an answer sometimes and signs the seller up for the Global Shipping Program and lists the seller's items internationally anyway. It's a policy which irks users on both sides of the border.

Would you be willing to post that item number?

There are other times when a seller may remove a bid, say, if a bidder has zero feedback, or the seller just feels uncomfortable for some reason.

It seems to me your seller is simply one of those who only wants to sell within the US.

Not much you can do but find another seller.
