How do I post a banner on my auction notifying buyers that I'll be on vacation?

You need to own a store to have a vacation setting option ....

You could always Revise listing and put in HUGE LETTER ON VACATION til such and such a time ..

You only have 1 listing just take it down and re-list when your done holidays

Definitely take down the listing.  You don't say when you are leaving, but there are 2 weeks left and if someone bought it, well, unless you are taking it with you and can mail it quickly from anywhere, you will be risking a 'not received' claim if you don't ship Delivery Confirmed, and poor feedback for slow delivery even if you do.
