How long do I wait after item is sold before buyer makes a payment?

Hi, I have sold a few things on here and always receive prompt payments.  My latest item the buyer has not made a payment yet..i sent him an invoice but nothing yet.  It was Thursday evening he bought it and it is now Saturday morning.  Also this is his first purchase, first everything..THANKS!

It is a holiday weekend.

Maybe your buyer took Friday off also and is sitting on the dock with a fishing line and no internet.

I would wait until Tuesday and send a friendly reminder.

You can open an "Unpaid Item Dispute" four days after the transaction if you want but I always wait until day seven.
