I am in Canada attempting to bid on a rifle scope that is also in Canada and I am getting a window stating the item is restricted for export

from the U.S. this window prevents me from bidding. but should not appear as both seller and buyer are in Canada and nothing is being exported from the U.S. ?????

It could be that the seller of the item is registered on ebay.com thus making ebay think the seller is from the US. If the seller is for sure from Canada, just click okay and ignore the message.
