Re: I have accidently purchased an item that I do not want. If I not pay for it, would it automatically get cancelled?

Hi .. Its difficult to accidently make a purchase here as it is a 2 step process.

Changing mind , finding cheaper etc is a common occurrence with new members.  On eBay a purchase is a commitment to follow through and pay .

There are consequences for not paying..sellers file unpaid item disputes because they need to recover fees due ebay..

Ebay assigns a strike against your account. With 2 strikes buying is severely restricted as most sellers have 2+ blocked.

Seller can cancel a transaction if asked but they are not required to do so. I would chalk up to learning and pay.

There is an add to watch list( your myebay) on listing. Use the feature and then review items interested in carefully before hitting commit button . Good luck.
