Hi,
I was wondering if there anyway to contact a purchaser of an item to see if they like the quality of the product?

If you are the seller, you can use Contact Buyer on the listing.
But DON'T!!
If the buyer is not satisfied, she will let you know.
If you are not involved in the transaction, eBay respects members' privacy and you cannot contact them.
Instead, ask the seller specific questions and read the seller's feedback, including the Detailed Seller Rating for 'Description'.

Are you fishing for feedback?
Be careful what you wish for.
Leave well enough alone.

Hello 'glenn...'

As the others here have stated, -- don't do it!
If ever there is a genuine problem a buyer will certainly let you know promptly. You yourself might be friendly and
conversational but your buyer might be one of those prickly types who takes great offense at being asked about a
product in this manner.
Or worse, -- there have been a few instances reported on the boards where a seller foolishly asked a buyer for a
review of the product, and instead of the anticipated praise and applause, the seller got clobbered with a phoney
Not as Described case.
It seems there are people who will take your innocent inquiry to mean you are easy prey for a scam.
Sadly.
So never bother a buyer if you can avoid it. If you are wanting to increase your feedback score, - buy a few things.
Otherwise count your money and your blessings and leave it alone.

The OP may have meant asking a random buyer if they liked a product the op was thinking of buying.
Unhappily ebay makes this impossible.

Oh, yes, of course. Rereading it, I see that now. Haha, I was so astonished by those earlier situations whereby the
poor sellers meant to be kind and sociable and ended up having some scoundrel spring a false claim on them.
I 'heard' that again and cringed.
Hasn't the OP ever heard of a Google search?

Right again!

And that is a good thing when you think about it. Maintaining privacy is not a bad thing. Far from it.
Can you imagine if anyone on eBay could contact your previous customers and offer them similar items at a lower price?
As a stamp seller, I would ready enjoy it if I had the ability to contact eBay customers of other stamp dealers and offer those collectors my competitive products at a better price. I would clean up at the expense of other sellers. Not fair, is it?

What would you suggest they search for? Searching for an id on feedback such as t**g(198) doesn't get much of a result.

Product reviews. Any information that might be available "to see if [people] like the quality of the product".

Sorry, I should have been clearer, I was thinking of purchasing an item but was hoping to see what other purchasers thought of the quality of their purchase. A lot of purchasers do not supply feedback after buying an item so I thought if I contacted 1 or 2 of them to get a better feel. After all, they partially list the purchasers username and what price they paid. Not sure how hard it would be to create a email link without any specific address info.
I just thought that if I was spending hundreds of dollars for an item it would be nice to know if it was worth it.
Thank you for all of your replies.
