Dec 18th a (0) wins an auction for an instrument. Within 5 minutes of the auction ending, I email payment details. An hour later I get an email from the person asking for payt details. I send details again except this time my email is ret'd as blocked. So I send it from another server and it goes through.
I look at my feedback rating and it dropped. This guy negs me telling me that after 5 days I never responded to him.
I email him tonight and my email is blocked again by the bum. (It is returned and tells me that it has been blocked by the recipient) Clearly he doesnt want to buy from me as he is with Cogeco and there are no global spam filters between Rogers and Cogeco like AOL or MSN.
Does this qualify for a feedback reversal by eBay and where the heck do I find my email support for eBay?
This one I want to fight to get reveresed.

If we were in a high risk of NPB's product, I think I'd give up on ebay and go back to the malls!!
Good luck on this one too! Glenda

Did you ever want to jump out of your computer and strangle the person on the other side. All she had to do was tell us she was having computer problems instead of leaving us to believe it was a spam filter or something with us.
This other person who won Thursday's auction has already left me a negative so I have no interest in selling him anything.
Here is how I know he got my email and blocked me.
We emailed him right after the auction. It was not returned. An hour later I get the formal eBay customer request for payment details.
We copy our ealier email and send it to him and it immediately comes back to us indicating that he blocked it.
We immediately send him another email from a different server copying the earlier emails and it does not come back.
So tonight when I get the neg, I email him and I get the same message (Client host [24.157.239.148] blocked using dnsbl.sorbs.net; ) which is telling me that he has blocked my email address. So I send my email using a different server and it goes through.
This person just doesnt want to buy the instrument and they resprted to dirty tactics to try to get out of it and I want to follwo this one all the way through with eBay.
As far as I am concerned if a buyer blocks a seller and the complains they didnt get any response they should be kicked off eBay. At the least, I should get the negatove removed as it was the buyer who prevented me from emailing them.
Lets remember that eBay, like most of us are e-commerce businesses relying almost 100% on email as the form of communication, If that wasnt true then where are eBay's Phone Numbers so I can call them and discuss this??????

Tell him all situations can be worked out
It's important to work out the situation and have the neg removed . Feedback effects long terms sales ...Feedback is important on the high end products

I can request eBay to reverse it if the user information was not correct or invalid (not useable) which is what I am maintaining with respect to my ability to email the person.
This is not a case of my not phoning them, I never had the opportunity after all they werent LATE in getting payment to me, the acution only ended Thursday night and today is Monday. They could have been away for the weekend after all this is Christmas.
I have filed a request for eBay to reverse the negative based on the seller blocking me from emailing them. I have provided eBay with the blocked message as evidence of the buyer not wishing me to contact them.
If this was an oversight on my part in failing to contact the customer I would reluctantly accept the negative. If this was just an error, I would also accept it but when my emails are blocked by the buyer and he negs me a couple of days after the auction ends without even trying to send me a single email, this person's objectives are not to purchase anything I am selling.
I need neither that customer's business that badly or eBay should they decide in favour of the customer who just got his eBay account and now has a -(1) feedback rating.
If this is the type of playing field that eBay wants to promote then I will start up another business somewhere else without eBay. I am totally independant from having to rely on eBay or anyone else for my livelihood.

The feedback was left by a member who provided eBay with false contact information during the transaction period (as verified by eBay) and could not be contacted. In general, the transaction period is considered to be 90 days from the end of the listing or 30 days from the date the feedback was left.
Since all of your emails are bouncing, I think you have a good chance. Send them the bounced emails with the headers. GOOD LUCK

Thats exactly what I did. My position is that the contact information is invalid and I sent proof to eBay using the blocked message I received.
I also got in touch with the other seller who also sold a violin to this bum and told him what had happened and to be careful. The problem is if he gets paid, he wont care although he is a Canadian Power seller.
Still I dont think that the other seller will be comfortable unless he gets certified funds from the buyer (not PayPAl) and until positive feedback has been left for him.

So here it is 12:15 at night and I get an email from the'woman" who readily admits that she had set her filter on to keep out spam but assumes that she must have blocked out alot more than that.
She has also gotten in touch with eBay to tell them it was her mistake, that she had blocked me from emailing her and she will respond to the feedback by admitting her mistake and that she blocked me from responding.
She wants to proceed with the purchase. I told her I would consider it after I read her response in the feedback.
Can you imagine she negs me for not responding but has me blocked from responsing and is fully aware that she set her filters to block out everyone except the people that are already in her address book.
I really hope that eBay does the right thing and I would like to hear from them on this Board as well about this issue.

I bet if you had written them, the same legal letter you could have had both feedback removed through squaretrade. I have even had customers pay ME the $20 for the feedback removal process that squaretrade charges
The problem you may run into with ebay . is there has now been contact

She already left positive feedback for the other vendor of the violin she purchased on the same day and he hasnt even shipped it yet.
I think of her as a loose cannon that is going to make a few more mistakes at the expense of other eBay sellers.
No, I am quite content that her negative feedback remains, it is deserved.

Some people are so green with Ebay , and if spoke too in a polite but respectful way. Often go on to purchase without problems.
I have even had customers NEG me , we worked the situation out had both Negs removed . Later go on to purchase from me big time
I think of it as the bully at school , you both bet the crap out of each other . Then become best friends

As a result I have agreed to proceed with selling the item to her and there is no question that she will be thrilled with both the product and the service.
She informed me that she took the time (after negging me) to read my feedback and that is when she came to realize her very poor judgment. Even the neg I left her promarily referred to her having a (0) feedback and having filters on preventing me from contacting her. (although I did suggest that she shouldnt be on eBay).
We dont refuse (0) feedbacks from bidding and recently sold someone with a -(1) feedback rating. We made certain that we communicated often and clearly so there wouldn't be any misunderstandings.
Anyway, its now up to eBay to complete setting the record straight.

Last year I had a neg for a similar bizarre reason. "never contacted me". I sent ebay all the info I had including telling them that I emailed them through the server (Not sure if they can track this?). My neg was gone in about 3 days.

This should be an easy mediation: customer admits making a mistake, wants feedback she left me removed and has paid $20 to do it. DO I agree to her terms? "Yes"
There done deal.
