Just got a neg from a guy that blocks my emails

Alright I have shared my thought on getting negs with everyone here. I usually dont worry about it but I would like to see this person kicked off eBay.

Dec 18th a (0) wins an auction for an instrument. Within 5 minutes of the auction ending, I email payment details. An hour later I get an email from the person asking for payt details. I send details again except this time my email is ret'd as blocked. So I send it from another server and it goes through.

I look at my feedback rating and it dropped. This guy negs me telling me that after 5 days I never responded to him.

I email him tonight and my email is blocked again by the bum. (It is returned and tells me that it has been blocked by the recipient) Clearly he doesnt want to buy from me as he is with Cogeco and there are no global spam filters between Rogers and Cogeco like AOL or MSN.

Does this qualify for a feedback reversal by eBay and where the heck do I find my email support for eBay?

This one I want to fight to get reveresed.

Malcolm

I was very cool and calm ,stated the facts the best I could related to the purchase

Yup !

Tried to state the facts clear as the sky in his feedback related to the purchase. Can't really go into deal with such a short line reguarding reshipping an item twice .The second shipment returned to us and also giving a few refund . I am sure I will be going to tradesquare try to get it removed

But when you know you made a mistake and you refund and then reship the mistake . Then the second shipments gets returned to our office

What would you do ?

Wow. That guy got it with both barrells.

You think that someone with a feedback rating over 240 would have some patience and understanding before shooting out a negative feedback.

He deserved your neg.

Malcolm, for someone who doesn't care about negatives, you sure got upset and went to a lot of trouble to get this one removed! LOL!

By the way, you called for eBay to show up in this thread and give an explanation... I don't think they have time to send someone out to discuss every negative received, unfortunately. I mean, I have 19 (from 12 members) and I'm still at 98.8% positive.

As for how I would have gone about this one, I would have pulled the contact info and tried calling. If anything wasn't right, I'd have them NARUd for Invalid Contact Info (blocking your emails is not considered ICI... wrong address or phone number is). If that didn't work, I'd NBP them after 7 days and leave negative, and then FVF reversal. If that NARUs them, which it can especiallty if they have any other negatives or warnings, you're set. File to have the feedback removed on the grounds of user being NARU within 90 days of end of auction.

I'm sure you already have, but I'd recommend blocking her, in case she decides to go on a rampage and buy up all your BINs in a "blaze of glory". 😛

Its funny. I let the second neg roll right off me. Didnt mean 2 cents and I didnt waste more than 5 minutes returning the favour to the other guy and then moved on.

This neg will be removed so it was worth the extra 1/2 hour I spent and the rant in this thread. I got the Square Trade email this mnorning.

The other member realized her error, went to Square Trade and paid $20 to mediate where she clearly stated her mistake and in heart felt words said that she truly hoped no damage was caused me as a result of her actions.

And we are proceeding with the sale.

I guess the one thing I realize is someone with a (0) rating, who has been an eBay member for less than 2 months is highly likely to make an error in leaving a negative.

The apprehension over paying money and receiving exactly what you ordered is very high until you become used to buying and selling over the internet, whether that is on eBay or elsewhere.

I am just suggesting that there may be a need for eBay to re-work their feedback reversal policy when it involves a newbie.

The alternative is for all sellers to do what some sellers are doing and that is to not accept bids from anyone with a feedback rating of less than 3 (or what-ever other number they choose) bid on their auctions.

That will make it hard for eBay to keep up the volume of sales if all sellers started adopting that policy and I thought eBay might like an opportunity to make the first move before a mass boycott of newbies being allowed to bid occurred.

I know that I get a great feeling being the first to sell someone and they come back and say that it was such a great and easy first time experience (we are talking about selling on eBay here so get your minds out of the gutter).

If Ebay were to make it more difficult for a newbie to bid or leave a neg, the press would have a field day with it.

Unfair negs or neutrals are just part of the selling game on Ebay. Most sellers understand and will still bid on a seller who who has them. Most new ebayers either don't know what feedback is, don't care about them or simply become attached to an item and then overlook them.

Hi I think Malcolm and I have talked on here. The person ended up buying from me. But have no fear I have at least four none buyers. One has done it to me and another person. It gets very frustrating. I hate to say they have to have a certain feedback before they bid because I was a new comer too. But most of my non buyers are newbies. Danna

Hi welcome to the Cdn PS Board. The person that did this has gone through Square Trade (paid her $20) and the negs are to be removed. I got an email from Square Trade today. They are f/u with eBay as the negs should have been removed by now.

She is buying from me with the violin going out this week. She had all sorts of filters on her system thinking she was blocking out only spam.
