A buyer asked to return a purse as it doesn't fit her shoulder!!!   You gotta love the originality.

She probably means that the strap isn't long enough so that she can carry it on her shoulder. Some bags that look like shoulder bags and have a 6" or 8" drop are too short unless the person is on the smaller side. That's why I always specify the strap drop or the range of the drop in the item specifics.

It could well be the width of the strap too. I'm a petite size and I can't keep a wide strap on my shoulder. I always choose a purse with narrow straps. 

 

It's a good idea to specify the width and length of the strap or show a photo of the strap.

 

She could have asked before buying though.
