New Powerseller Free shipping for a month "" Question""

Hi,
In my kudos email from eBay , it said free shipping for a month to US and international destinations with Canada post, so i clicked the link and signed up with the Powerseller program on CPost website.

Recieved the confirmation email today, with codes , contract and pass.

Tryed to make first shipment and have to pay.

??????

Anyone can help me out with this?
Do i have to do somthing special.
Or do i have to call annoying Canada post and sit on hold for 3 hours.

Good morning magickalbuys, and welcome to the PS board! What they didn't tell you in your email from eBay is that the free shipping comes after the first year! After you've used the CP tools to ship for a year, you're supposed to get a credit for 1/12th of your total shipping (at least that's the way I understood it). I don't think any of us have gotten it yet ...

Basically, CP will average your EST sales for 1 year (only US EST sales excluding small packets). I believe the "year" was October 04 to October 05.

Kicker is that CP says they will credit your account for this average "month". Note that if you have a PS CP account, you are forced to use a credit card to pay for your EST shipments. So basically you'll have a credit sitting in your account which you'll never be able to use. Another screw-over from CP, don't you think?

But I have two options when i use the EST , it says "metered" and "credit card", what is metered???

Metred means you have a postage meter for printing postage like those available from Pitney Bowes. When you select metered you print the required amount of postage from your postage meter and affix it to the package. CP will send a summary via snail mail.

Have a Freind in the USA who is willing to take on shipments ( he`s actually our jewlry designer ).
Said if i pack them and send once a week, he `ll do the mailing from there.

I am seriosly thinking about it!

We did a trail run last week, and for a pound of herbs which costs me 11.75, from here.
Cost 2.75 from there.!! and she recived it in 2 days.
From here would have been 3 weeks. If CP is on time.


We are being totally ripped off.

He has 3 employees that can put out.
So if anyone else is interested , just let me know.I`ll ask I`m sure he`d be more than willing.
He will charge me 2.oo a shipment.


So putting out as many shipments as i do, im looking at saving BIG money.
And making a whole lot of customers happier with shipping times.

I'm sure i'm getting free shipping, so far havent paid anything.

It's suppsoed to work on an average of your 12 month shipping amount and they give you 1/12 of it as a credit to your account.

If you are selecting "metered" instead of "credit card" in the EST (based on an earlier question of yours) then you are not getting free mail you are incorrectly using the method where you are supposed to affix postal meter postage to your packages. As has been mentioned a few times here, the "free postage" deal for Powersellers is based on a one year average of your non-small packet shipments.
