Cancel my own bid? I don't believe a buyer can cancel their own bid, the suggestion sounds rife with chaotic possibilities.. thanks for the suggestion, but I bid on the item because I actually like the item. The lack of communication from the seller is a real disappointment for me; that is human nature also.

I don't think my feedback left for sellers is germaine to my original post. Apparently to some it is.
My gratitude would be more effuse if all were not predicating replies based upon what I have already bought or on how much I have bought. I realize you all are volunteers and I appreciate your time answering my questions. However, I don't believe a buyer with a question has anything to prove before receiving a straight answer. I do not show my feedback because that is my preference, not because I have shameful past conduct or have left a bloody trail of trashed sellers behind me.
Thank you again for the helpful replies. You'll understand my reluctance to "share" with some others here who have equated me with flies or whatever, I guess they actually call their responses flies, my assertive posture regarding my privacy is viewed as something tart. I'm good with that. 🙂
