We made a postal trip to Buffalo last night. I have heard mention on this board by others who use the 24hr AIRPORT MAIL FACILITY.
There is a sign on the door informing customers that the location will only be open until midnight, effective September 3.
I don't know how many of you do your mailing after midnight but I just thought I would let you know.

Hi again:
I have just discovered that the post office on Niagara Falls Blvd, in Niagara Falls, New York (this is the one between Military Rd. and Porter. LaSalle branch) has a 24hr self serve facility. It actually looks incredibly easy to use AND they accept Canadian Debit cards as payment.
Just passing on things to make your life easier. 🙂

Yes, I discovered that alot of things aren't really eligible for self serve. We went over to use that service last night and luckily discovered the location has extended its hours. They close at 7pm now instead of 5. If we had tried to use the self serve system we would have ended up with over half of our items unmailed.
Our problem wasn't the method of shipping but the size of the label that prints out of the machine. The postage label is enormous, appx. 4x6 so it wouldn't have fit on any of our 5x7 envelopes without completely covering the address. Also, I read something that indicated that this system is only for domestic shipments, so anything being mailed back to Canada or anywhere other than the USA is completely out. I need to check up on this though. What I read seemed to imply that, but I find it kind of hard to believe. I will check into it and post more if I have any luck in deciphering it.

The Buffalo USPS outlet by the airport opens at 6am. They're now 6am - midnight 7 days a week. 🙂 No time/hour restrictions on business customers. I've seen people go in there with those great big green postal bins. One day I'll get that big and have that many packages to ship. :-x

Even a stopped clock is right twice a day.
