I flipped on the tv to watch the last 5 minutes of "Texas Justice' the redneck version of Judge Judy.
There was an eBay seller (5 positive feedbacks and 1 negative) suing the person who gave him the negative feedback for $5,000 claiming 'defamation of character". The buyer was countersuing him for $5,000 as the seller left him with negative feedback.
Without reliving all the arguments, the Judge ruled that they both had to agree to advise eBay to remove their negative feedbacks and the judge also issued an Order to eBay to have the negative feedbacks removed.
The judge claimed that it was too difficult if not impossible to determine the seller's losses as a result of having a single negative feedback posted, especially since he already had 5 positives.
