Wow!! From 5% last month after one newbie zinged me (long story) to 20% this month!! 🙂

But what the heck do you have to do to get "raised" in the search results? I don't think my DSR's have ever been higher than they are now.

I've had raised search from the get-go and I can assure you that my definition of raised is quite different than that of eBay's!

I think we use two different dictionaries!

The FVF rebates usually come pretty quickly. However their darn payroll cheques take forever. Still waiting for the first one. ;-) .

It depends where you look.

When checking my dashboard on eBay.ca, my search standing is "standard". Why? because DSR are not used on eBay.ca to determine search placement.

However, on eBay.com where it really counts, my search standing is "raised" as DSRs are taken into account as one of many factors determining search placement. .

So well? Not relly. Sales are slow, the slowest I have seen since the weeks following the attacks of Sept 11, 2001. My customers are usually mature and senior. Many are concerned with the state of the American economy and saving money and cutting expenses instead of spending on their hobby. I hear other stamp and coin dealers are experiencing the same slowdown.

On the other hand those customers who have purchased have been very generous with their feedback and DSRs. I am most appreciative. .

Hi Pierre,

That part was meant for Susan but I am sorry to hear things are slow. I have actually had a good month, but I am sure it could have been much better if it wasn't for the U.S. economy. It is hard to compare it with last year because I didn't have nearly as much stuff listed a year ago as I do now.

My DSR's have been getting better but I have really had to work at it. You get one pulled up and then find another one is slipping so you go to work on that one.

Here's hoping that things pick up. I have a habit of getting into things just when they are beginning to go downhill. I have managed to do quite well in spite of it. I think it was Winston Churchill who said, "Never, never, never give up".
