Turbo Lister Issue... cross-border trading terms & conditions???

I'm in Canada, and I just went to upload some items only to get an error message...

"You must accept the terms and conditions for cross-border trading before you can list this item that will require international shipping..... "

I've never seen this before, but I do remember doing an update to turbo lister recently... so what do I do now?  How do I "accept" the terms and conditions??

Thank you... any help would be appreciated

Hi dragon.salez,

I am sorry to hear of those troubles you are having with Turbo Lister.  I will be happy to help with this.  this message comes directly from the site, regrettably there is not a way around that in Turbo Lister.  To get this set up, you will want to list one item directly on the site, exactly as you have it in Turbo Lister.  Once you have listed the one item, you will then be able to come back to Turbo Lister to list.

Regards,

Ketty

Just login in to eBay.ca online and create a listing with the Sell Your Item form and list it.  The agreement shows up after the first page of the SYI form and before the second page.  You do not even have to complete the listing. You can just fill out the first page with minimal information, go to the second page, get the agreement, agree, then the second page shows up, then cancel your listing. The agreement will be valid even if you cancel the SYI listing. You only need to agree once. Then go try Turbo Lister to see if all is okay.

You have a new id with little feedback so you might get the one page SYI form. The above assumes that you will get the full 2 page Sell Your Item form.  If you get the short one page SYI form, somewhere at the top is an option for the advanced 2 page form.

I'm so mad right now!

I built a listings I wanted to put up tonight!

And instead of uploading I get an error message.

I just wasted a whole bunch of time because the message said I had NOT specified International shipping in the listings I wanted to upload! NOT true! All my listing are Worldwide!

Now I find out it had nothing to do with anything I needed to do differently and everything to do with eBay being eBay.

Maybe a more appropriate error message in TL is in order or better yet an Announcement about the NEW Agreement requirement in order to continue listing!

Shakes head and wakes away ...

I went back and reread the part of the error message that didn't run off my screen into nothingness and was about to piece together that there was an agreement of some sort. Maybe being able to see the entire message it might make more sense, or not? What I read was that by not including International shipping I would not be allowed to list Worldwide.

Here I am, half an hour before a promotion to list free is set to end, and I get this message in Turbo Lister. Awesome.

Tried listing with the SIY form instead. Doesn't work... nothing to agree to... no explanations for anything... take your pick.

So, looks like I will miss out on my free listings (which means I'm certainly not going to pay to list them). Why does this always have to be so complicated?

I just want to hit a button and list everything I need to. How come it can never work like that?

I'm having the same frustrating issue.  It's bad enough that the web experience is so poorly laid out, to make an app that's supposed to make this experience better, yet halt transactions with a message like this...  That may have been acceptable a decade ago but no excuse for it these days.

The link in Turbo Lister is dead.  The process to list an item in the web interface is, well, crazy.  I finally learned all the silly little things about Turbo Lister and now have to make sure that everything's going to work well if I list via web?!?

Tried listing a fake item; second page just comes up with more summary information and then the "List Item" button... *no agreement*.  This is insane.  And try searching for this term in Ebay's help.  Nothing.  Sure wish there was a better alternative for Ebay.  A modern programmer half-asleep could churn out smarter results.

Did you ever get any resolution?  Same thing now... convenient to make a "free listing promo" and then make it impossible to list items.

Same issue here. What comes to mind is what Steve Jobs once said about his competitors and their ability to understand their customers needs. The same applies to ebay:

"They just don't get it!"
