Who else is affected by a "glitch" that prevents "Feedback revision request"?

Is eBay rampant with glitches? I recently received a neg feedback that was admitted by the buyer to be a mistake.

(In effect, he left me bad feedback before noticing I had fully reimbursed him about an hour earlier.)

 

Buyer asked me to send him a "feedback revision request". I tried, but was told by eBay that none was "eligible for revision".

 

First time I called eBay:

I was told there was a glitch and I should try again in 72 hours.

 

Second time I called eBay:

I was told that while feedback could be be revised, it could removed if the buyer messaged me with such an agreement.

I got the buyer to do so.

 

Third time I called eBay:

I told them I had the messaged agreement.

I was told the feedback could not be removed, that there was a bug, that they would "send a report", and that I should try again in 30 days (July 16, 2015 that is) !!!

 

Is eBay playing with me?

Who is there to trust?

How do I know there won't be a glitch between eBay and Paypal that will suck down my bank account?

The site is glitchy at times although often a glitch will affect one user and not another one. You might want to try a couple of things if you haven't done so already.

-Clear your history and cache and close your browser than try again to get the revision request. 

-Try using another browser 

-try again in a few days.

-phone customer service and see if another rep will remove the feedback since you have a message from the buyer saying that is what they want

 

 

I doubt that there is a bug that doesn't allow the rep to remove the feedback so if the revision request still isn't working, try asking another rep to do it.  A message from the buyer isn't really one of the 'official' reasons for removing the feedback which could be why the one rep said they couldn't do it. But it has been done in the past so another rep might do it...try to talk to a U.S. rep rather than an overseas one.

Thanks for replying. I'll try your ideas. However I've never agreed to rely on a glitchy framework with lousy service. Even the communication line was bad in the sense that I could barely hear what the eBay representative was saying. At this point, I find relief in knowing there are many alternatives. If the buyer and I can't get the neg removed by the 30 day deadline, and I don't find any more reason to stay, I'm gone. Can't allow eBay to disregard our evidence. Wasted enough time on this already. Cheers.
