Why is shipping+delivery confirmation expensive in Canada? As for USA shipping isn't pricey at all when shipping worldwide. I don't want to put my listings as $20+ because of the extra $10-15 just for confirmation.

This is very true. The Canadian Government and Postal system makes it very difficult for the little guy to be competitive in the global market.

In fact as a Canadian because of the ridiculously high shipping costs with tracking I cannot fairly compete. With these shipping rates I can't really see my self every making profit selling on eBay as a business but use eBay to liquidate product. So far I have sold everything I have listed at a 30% to 40% loss to compensate for shipping costs to compete and get the sale while taking high risk of customer fraud by offering shipping letter mail to compete.

In most cases it is cheaper to buy from American Sellers than from Canadians due to the fact of lower traceable shipping shipping rates.
