any tips for a first time seller

i have two new items that i am trying to sell ive never sold anything before was wondering if anyone had any tips on how to maybe get more people intrested. do you think its just that i dont have any positive feedback for selling anything so people dont want to give me a chance or?

I see only one item and it has been listed for just over a day. Most auctions do not get a bid until closer to the end and many do not sell the first time. But with that being said...

You should make better use of your title as that is how potential buyers will find your item. Do a search for mens esq watches to see what other sellers use. I would suggest that your title go something like this...

ESQ by Movado Mens Stainless Steel Watch Black Face

If you know the model number you can put that in your title too. Is the box included? If so, add on NIB which means new in box. If the box isn't included you need a new picture as people are going to assume the box is included.

If you relist, don't relist the subtitle..they are expensive and do not show up in search.

Do fill in your item details as much as possible as those too help buyers find your product.

I'm just trying to give you ideas...my title may not be the best way but that's probably how I would do it.

Also, the only shipping rates that are showing are for Canada so if someone from the U.S. or elsewhere is looking at your listing they won't see a shipping amount and may just go on to the next listing. If you do have those numbers entered then someone must be incorrect.  As a new seller I would suggest that you sell just to Canada and the U.S.

When you set up your shipping make sure you use metric dimensions. Canada Post went metric in 1974 and any other systems give wonky results.

At this point, as a new seller of highvalue/high fraud products, I would set my Seller Preferences to automatically Block any countries but Canada and the USA. When you are more established you can start allowing sales to Australia, UK, Germany, Netherlands, France.

By then you will know what countries to keep blocked. And some may surprise you.
