I have to say that dealing with e bay and escalation staff has been beyond frustrating. Buyer received the item, but funds were still on hold.....
I called once last week, and was told case was closed and I would see my funds... nothing again this week, and called again, and was told there is a bug in the system...... case was closed again.......
I asked for an e mail confirmation, but they said they couldn't do that......!!! a simple e mail.!!!
This process has been so difficult with absolutely no information or communication from ebay end.
VERY DIFFICULT to deal with....
its all about protecting the buyer..........not the sellers....
BEWARE !!!!

yes must agree sad that buyers are protected even when scaming sellers, just went through that and ebay is of no help, buyer says not as described item is damaged, amazing that the buyer says packaging wasnt harmed, very odd to say the least cant even make a claim through canada post, gave the guy most of his money back and still get a defect ,the buyer was dishonest wanted item at reduced price sad whats going on

I assume you have looked in your Paypal account for the money, but have you also looked in the credit card account you back the card with?

The op is the seller,...this shouldn't involve their credit card in any way.
