eBay Submit Best Offer COUNTEROFFER option

Not certain if this applies to many other fellow eBay sellers, but whenever I post to my store with Buy It Now, I include the "Submit Best Offer" option. Prospective buyers can send me in their offers for consideration, and eBay.CA gives me the option to Accept or Decline that offer. It's come to my attention that if posting on .COM and you receive a Best Offer that you then have the option to present a COUNTEROFFER, to legitamatly negotiate the price through eBay! Sounds like a great idea to me, however such an option does not exist at this time for those that post on .CA. Why? Well, nobody at eBay has been able to provide me with an answer as to why only .COM posters have this luxury -- I have an email in to Powerseller Support to clarify. Here's hoping it comes along real soon, but my question to you all is how many people here would find the ability to COUNTEROFFER to a prospective buyer to be a useful tool to have in their auctions? It can only assist to increase sales! If enough people are behind it, hopefully the "powers that be" will help expedite the process of making it happen. Your thoughts? Thanks!

No, not through eBay.ca you can't. On .COM a button appears that you can click that says Counteroffer where you can negotiate a price with your prospective buyers.

.ca is always behind .com on new features. One reason why I list on .com.

I would consider using that feature for people who want to buy multiple items. The only other way to do it on .ca that I can think of would be to agree on a price and list the lot at a Buy It Now price for them. However someone else could beat them to it if they didn't act quickly.

This topic was covered here (i think) a few weeks ago and the general consensus is that yes, you can utilize the counteroffer option while listing and logged into .com but not while in .ca Why, you ask? Not a clue. I have written to eBay twice about this and was told they are "looking into it." And as Monique said, this is why I also list on .com for the most part.

snoopwiz, are you saying that even when you list on .ca, if you log on using .com you can use the counteroffer option? I'm another who started on .com before there was a .ca (ID muminlaw) and I always list on .com (our "duujogl" partner uses .ca for our joint listings)

In times like these where the fee's to sell are at a premium, you'd think they'd at least give us all the tools that they have available to help make the best possible sale.
