ebay Money order and other restrictions

I was going to modify my listing for the reason in the title of this post but I do not want to end my GTC listings just for this change because If I end those I will lose ranking in search engines for those listing. I contacted ebay and they said sorry you have to make the change to good til canceled listings as well but those are not modifiable and I do not want to end them.

I asked ebay to make those updatable but I am sure they will say sorry again. Its quite bad ebay is making us end those listings (and earn more money when I relist them) and not making them modifiable so we can make the change. What have you done for this ?

I've changed the listings.

Had you done this earlier, during the 2 MONTHS ebay gave us to make the change, you could have altered your GTC items to end in 30 days and then revised them as they were ready to close.

Besides, you only have 135 listings, Even with the 4 auctions, that's about about $5 you're going to have to spend. Big deal. -------------------------------------------------------------------

The change was announced one year ago on eBay.com. eBay delayed the implementation until early January to give sellers a chance to revise their listings.

The same changes are finally coming to eBay.ca. No surprise here.

I had to change 2,700+ GTC fixed price and store inventory listings, one at the time. Painful and time consuming.

There is no additional cost if you plan it well. It is a matter of cancelling GTC listings near the end of the 30 days cycle and relist with the modifications.

If you did not plan it well, it will cost you a few dollars. No big deal.

Are you guys looking at the new eBay.com policy? The Accepted Payments Policy for eBay.ca says:

Sellers may offer to accept personal cheques, money orders, cashier’s cheques, certified cheques, Canadian Tire Money™ and other negotiable instruments.

Apparently, the fine folks at ebay will allow a short grace period for those that have not finished updating their listings through this transition, and I believe that GTC listings have a longer deadline extension as well. (I'm sure I read that somewhere, although I'm not losing any sleep over it).

Also, don't forget that the free shipping promo with the free subtitles, etc is over in two weeks (June 30).

Cheers,
