photo stealing - any way to avoid it?

Ugh! 😮 Hate when this happens! People stealing my photographs!

How do you cope?
I have seen people put little cards in their pictures, or stamp them with their names across the picture - which IMO is hard to see the picture then and personally I would do that but I can't figure it out! 😞

What to do?

Just sooo annoying! Thanks for letting me vent!

There are many programs you can use to ad a WATERMARK to your photographs which would dramatically decrease and deter theft.

Goto GOOGLE and do a search for PHOTO WATERMARK SOFTWARE.

Other than that, I would report anyone I found stealing my pictures to eBay and they will take care of it for you.

Yeah, I have this problem all the time! eBay will remove any auction if you show them that a photo has been stolen from you.

Once I had had a similar incident. The guy took not only my pictures, but he pointed his listings directly to the pictures that were on my host! The guy was stealing my pictures, item description AND my bandwidth!!!

I got really mad and started writing a nasty email.

Then, I had a better idea... I replaced all the pictures on my host with some 'different' material ]:) . Then I monitored how long it would take someone to notice. A few days later, the listing was pulled, and the user NRU'd!!!

I know that was bad. A little time consuming, but very satisfying in the end.

Thanks funkywatch.. got my better half figuring out the watermark program.
Ebay was awesome, got rid of the other listing, and quick. 😄
