I've imported my active listings from ebay and started revising them but when I submit the changes to ebay and choose the "update all future listings" option it does not revise the SMP template. My concern is that I have many of my BIN listings set up for automatic listing via SMP preferences.
Is there a way to get the SMP template associated with the listing to revise?

When Blackthrone says "update all future listings" it means it will change the entry in the Items section of BT, if you choose No then only the currently running listing will be revised and the original Item it was based on remains the same.
It's possible to use SMP to autolist (or rather relist) and have this automatically imported into BT. Since I don't use this function I'm not 100% sure how you do it but I think there is a setting the the Options whereby during a BT refresh any listings found on eBay that are not currently in BT will be imported.
Auto-relist is a feature many BT users have requested, there's been a bit of chatter that it may be added but for sure it will not be anytime soon.
If you need any other assistance don't hesitate to ask via the board or directly.

A couple of things to check (not sure if they will help or are even totally accurate reports):
Search in Blackthorne for the listing number, make sure to customize the search to include Archive items (some time ago there was reports of imported items getting flagged as archive items).
If you are sure it was not imported....
Try doing the import again for a select period plus/minus an hour or so around the original listing time and remember the time zone issue if you are not in the Pacific time zone (sorry I don't remember if you need to set the time period for local or Pacific time).
Just occured to me, do you mean the listing didn't import from eBay or rather that the listing when refreshed did not create a sale? If it's the later just go to the item on the Item Tab and do a selective refresh, then use the GoTo function to go to the corresponding sale.
Every once in a while I get a listing that won't create a sale record, refreshing the individual listing usually creates one. I assume it's because of a hiccup with the API when doing the refresh.
By the way, I have Auto Refresh turned off, works for me but not for all.

here are the rules...
Delete an Item, all listing and sales data goes poof!
Delete a Listing and sales data goes poof!
Delete a Sale and only it goes poof!
Best practises...
NEVER delete, archive instead that way you can always retrieve the information. I've been using SA/BT for 7 years, I have every item, listing, sale, buyer etc. ready and available if I ever need the info.
For example....
I found another item same as one I listed 5 years ago (two clicks and I have a listing ready to go).
Who was it that bought this item 3 years ago and said to let me know if I ever found more. (two clicks and I have the buyer's info)
I've sold this before, can't remember what it sold for (two clicks and I have the complete sales info including high bidders, number of bidders, number of watchers, selling prices, BIN/Auction, number of times listed etc.)
I recognize that buyers username, what and when did the previous buy (2 clicks.......)
I admit I'm a packrat but if I need to see an email somebody sent me 10 years ago it's readily available.

Most definitely great advice you have just shared! Like you, I've used SAP/BT Pro for 7+ years. I have everything at my fingertips as well. I never delete anything...only archive it and it's great when another *one of a kind* item surfaces again!
And, Monique....you're definitely on your way to learning the ins and outs of BT. It is a steep learning curve and can be quite frustrating at times, however, one day you'll sit back and say, "Oh, yeah...I remember how I did that!" and you'll realize that you've finally got it!
It's a constantly evolving program and most certainly the developers are great to work with whenever you have any problems. The BT board is an excellent resource!
Have fun!

By automatic listings, do you mean auctions that didn't sell...to relist?

Ah, I see. Perhaps working with the automatic scheduling it may help a bit? So long as your computer is on and you are online...there is no charge for that service.
The BT board may be a place for you to go for some other suggestions as well. And, it's also a place for BT users to make suggestions to the BT Developers. They do listen!

What some users do is set up the auto relist rules in SMP (free with BT subscription). BT can be set to automatically import these listings during a refresh so you don't need to remember to manually import them.

It does show up on your monthly invoice but there should be a corresponding credit.

I've never used it so I can't help with anything other than what I read in the comparison chart.
Hope that helps!

Here's the link to the page that gives a comparison of all of the seller tools that eBay offers:
http://pages.ebay.com/selling_manager/comparison.html
At the bottom of the page, but above where it says About eBay / Announcements / Security Center / eBay Toolbar you will find this statement:
*Selling Manager Pro is free for Blackthorne Pro, Featured and Anchor Store subscribers. For details, click here.
