Now with CP strike firmly in place (and who knows for long; it seems that Carney is in no rush to end this any time soon), the waiting game for some of my orders begin...One was shipped from the eIS hub the day when the strike began, and yes...Asendia/CP. So that one will be stuck for ever at customs. Same as another one from overseas (which I thought was going to be send via DHL, but nope. Regular mail).
Two other orders are on its way to the hub in Illinois, so hopefully they will be send via either DHL or Asendia/Uni-Uni.
At this pace, I'll be lucky to get any of those before the end of the year.

I am based in Winnipeg, MB and I would have no problem purchasing from a seller using eIS during the Canada Post strike.
eIS doesn't use Canada Post to deliver my orders. There delivered by Uni or Intelcolm. I don't know where you are based but for me it's never Canada Post doing the final delivery.

I'm in the GTA, Ontario. They mostly use Canada Post as last mile carrier, but there can be a variety of different ones. The problem is, with the strike, volume increases for the other carriers and that slows things down.
At least that was my experience during last year's strike and I don't expect anything different this time around.

I have a feeling that eIS will use a different carrier for your final delivery. Remember last time there was the slowdown because it was peak holiday season (Christmas) and we are nowhere near that time of year yet.

"oh woe is me" or is it "poor, poor pitiful me"...
whatever it was that you purchased, most likely is not a matter of life or death...
The current situation is what it is and life goes on!
