High value item, concerned with pending dispute process.

Hey all,
I've been an intermittent ebay user for the past 5+ years and have just recently used it to purchase a rather high value item ($500USD) with the intention of gifting it to a relative. After a week and a bit, I finally got around to opening and reviewing the contents, I was quite displeased to say the least.
I paid a premium for the item, in the realm of $85-$100USD based on the purported 'mint' condition, zero scratches, etc etc, and upon reviewing it, it clearly had a multitude of scratches of varying sizes, internal dusting in excess of the description, etc. After contacting the seller for resolution, following a counteroffer (15% refund, up from the offered 10% to cover the premium I paid) I heard nothing back for nearly a week.
Then, after filing  a report with ebay, I hear back within hours, which I was a bit confused by.

That brings us to this point, where the seller is accusing me of using a completely different item to show the damages, they requested a video, and I provided a nearly 4 minute long timestamped video. I'm not sure what else I should do here.
What typically happens now? The advert has a variety of images, but none showing the actual damage, is this an "open and shut" case? the seller's verbiage specifically said "No Scratches" which I find blatantly misleading.

To their credit, the Ebay support agents were helpful however I didn't glean much from their messages. Any advice would be appreciated, I imagine this is a "Sit and Wait" type of thing though? They were unable to give me any guidance, specifically when I asked the hypothetical, "well what if they send a basic postal label back?" I would be out my money and the gift, for gosh knows how long, they were unable to specify if I would have any recourse in such a scenario.

High value item, concerned with pending dispute process.

You got an item which you consider Not As Described.

You received it less than 30 days ago.

File a Not As Described dispute with eBay's Money Back Guarantee.

Stop communicating with the seller.

The seller will be required to send you return shipping.

When they get the item back, you will be refunded.

Stop communicating with the seller.

Note that you are also covered by the chargeback policy of the credit card you really paid with. But go with eBay first, and save the chargeback as a backup.

If you paid with etransfer, debit, or a gift card, no refund is possible. Never use any of those for online shopping.
