If you value your mental health, don't look at tracking.
It is weird and counter-intuitive. It doesn't speed up delivery. It doesn't protect from damage in transit.
EBay gives you a window for delivery.
Mark the last date on your calendar.
If that window closes, you can open an Item Not Received (INR) dispute .
Which is when the tracking number - a Seller Protection- is useful to the Seller.
He can show with the tracking number that the item has been delivered.
If he cannot, you will be refunded.
If you are concerned about porch pirates, ask at your local PO about FlexDelivery.
With this the postie does not deliver packages to your door, but leaves a Notice about when and where you can pick them up. Secure and safe.

But don't try to guess where your package is.
Either you have it, or it's on its way, or you are opening an INR.
