Ebay international shipping program in Canada

Good Day All!  On October 1st Ebay international shipping program is not available for Canadian Sellers.  I have been using the program for about 1 week now, and find it ok, with some a couple of issues, which needed to be resolved.  First, when shipping to the USA, since August 29, when the De Minimis exemption was cancelled, we were advised that we needed a 10 digit HTS code for products being shipped.  Ebay shipping program only accepts a 6 digit code.  That apparently is ok as all my shipments have landed with no issue.  My major concern is the size of the shipping label I get from the program.  I always have the option to choose my label size, as either letter or 4" X 6" .  I always choose the 4 X 6 option to fit my zebra label printer.  However what I get is a letter size document with the top left portion of the page showing the 4 X 6 label.  If I print it on my label printer, I get a 4 X 6 inch label with  2 X 3 inch printing in the top left of the page.  It appears my only work around is to print a label on my letter size printer and either folding it or cutting it to 4 X 6 inch size and either taping it to the package or ordering some sicky clear label envelops.  Does anyone else have this issue?  If not please let me know any work around.  Thaks

I can’t see any evidence that you’re using the eBay International Shipping service in your listings, @printerwarehousecalgary. I checked a few of your listings and they all seem to have UPS or “standard delivery from Canada” listed as the shipping method.

I wish it was available to all sellers.

Still waiting for my confirmation email from eBay.

Re: Ebay international shipping program in Canada

Are you sure it isn"t?  I couldnt use it on initially on Ebay .com, but when I switch to ebay .ca I can use it.  All of my listings are on .com so I have to convert $ and dimensions to metric to use shipping program.  I did not get any confirmation that I could use it.  Just tried and boom!

Re: Ebay international shipping program in Canada

Well your right about the listings. Mont of these posts were listed prior to the global program being available. However we now use the eBay shipping almost exclusively for shipping to the US. We do generally ship standard shipping to canada

Re: Ebay international shipping program in Canada

You may qualify for shipping through eBay International Shipping (eIS) but I'm pretty sure that your listings won't have eIS applied to them until you shift them over to the .ca site.  I'm looking at one of your new listings and using a US ZIP code as the shipping address.  It states "Standard International Shipping from Canada" as the shipping method instead of "eBay International Shipping" and a blue warning banner about the buyer having to pay import fees to the carrier is displayed.

Also, it states that you only ship to the Americas, and eIS items usually ship to a broader range of countries than that.

Re-reading your initial post, @printerwarehousecalgary, I'm thinking that you're confusing eBay International Shipping with some other international shipping intiative associated with eBay.  Since eBay International Shipping is a forwarding service that involves shipping items to a Canadian address to be processed and forwarded to their international destination, you wouldn't be required to provide export classifications as that would be done for you at the forwarding hub in Canada.

Could you somehow be using the similarly named mail consolidation service called eBay International Standard Delivery?
