Enrolled in Ebay international shipping program, but I don't see it in my listing.

I read about the  Ebay international shipping program, and I realize I have to be on Ebay.CA in order to use it (I usually list on the .com US site).  Anyhow I filled out my listing as usual, but when it came to the international shipping section, all I see is what is message from ebay that says

Sell globally with eBay International Shipping
Your listing will show up for buyers worldwide. Just ship to our domestic hub, and we'll take care of customs and delivery. If the item's returned, we handle everything at no cost to you—and you keep the sale. How it works

In my account settings it says I am enrolled in eBay International Shipping but  when I look at my listing using the US .com site, under shipping I see "May not ship to United States. Read item description or contact seller for shipping options. See details"

What am I doing wrong?  Or is something on eBay's end broken?

exactly what I have described earlier.

When viewed in Canada... only show that it will only ship to Canada.

https://www.ebay.ca/itm/236463483784

When viewed in eBay Germany... in an incognito browser, it shows 'Calculate' and only lets me choose  Canada.

https://www.ebay.de/itm/236463483784

When view in ebay.com (USA), in an incognito browser,   it shows calculated shipping but I can only choose to ship to CANADA.

and NO, I am not the one excluding all the  countries listed.   My shipping policy is clearly set to not exclude ANY country.

Re: Enrolled in Ebay international shipping program, but I don't see it in my listing.

Excuse me while I swear and curse at ebay.

According to chatGPT there are eBay International Shipping Program Size and Weight Limits (which or course are not mentioned anywhere on eBay)!

And if the limits chatGPT is giving me are true, they are pretty **** poor limits!

Maximum weight per package: 4.4 lbs (2 kg).

Maximum combined dimensions: 36" (91 cm) in length + girth (Girth is calculated as the distance around the package, which means girth = 2 x width + 2 x height.)

What an utter waste of my time this has been.   The more I think about it, the more I do not see a benefit of this EIS program.  At the end of the day, my customers, which are mostly in the US, will still have to pay a duty or customs whether I ship to them directly myself, or Amazon does it through their EIS program.    Also, if all of my items magically fit their weight and size restrictions, I actually get penalized by selling to the US  in that I have to pay to ship my item to Mississauga, whereas if I just ship directly to the US as I have in the past,  I normally charge the customer for shipping so at least I don't lose out on shipping costs.

Perhaps it is time to wind down my ebay selling.  Between duties and customs my US customers will have to pay, and very few Canadian customers (because we are ALL struggling), I anticipate a HUGE drop in sales.  The removal of the De Minimis Exemption (allowing goods valued at USD $800 or less to enter the United States duty-free and tax-free) has really ruined everything.  Perhaps this new EIS program by eBay was just to distract Canadian sellers.

Perhaps you should not use ChatGPT and actually look things up for yourself.

The maximum dimensions and weight are very clearly stated.

I don’t know where Chat GPT got its eIS info (it looks more like Small Packet or First Class Mail International to me) but it definitely wasn’t the eBay page dedicated to Canadian eIS terms and conditions for sellers:

https://pages.ebay.ca/internationalshippingprogram/seller/terms/

Having said that, there seems to be some glitches in the section on maximum weight and dimensions, alternating between using metric and imperial and noting a maximum girth of 84 inches. Really? 🤪
