Listing on ebay.ca requiring login to ebay.com then goes to onboardweb.ebay.com to verify SSN?

Was logged into ebay.ca, wanted to start selling and was required to log in again. Every time I hit continue it would accept the name and password but just stay on that screen.

Cleared cache and deleted some stuff now it is working properly.

Now the problem is when I go to list a finished draft item, it wants me to log into signin.ebay.com.

I log into that and it brings me to onboardweb.ebay.com to verify existing details.

1st page is ok with my name address and phone number .

2nd page wants birthdate and not a SIN but a SSN (US Social Security number)

The page says I can skip this step but will need the information before you can get paid for your sales.

I hit skip this step and all that happens is a red message across the top of the screen

Something went wrong. Please try again later.

Anyone have this problem?

Thanks

If you can, try using a different browser.

Or try signing in with your browser in privacy mode.

Hello,
I am using Edge or Explorer.
I just tried InPrivate mode in Edge and now I get a different error.
After filling out item info and hitting list item this shows up.

Request higher selling limits

Sorry, we're unable to increase your selling limits right now. Please come back later and check again.
Back to selling

I have not sold items since 2003 I have only been buying since then. My sell limits are Zero?
Thanks

Now its going back to the endless loop login password when I go to sell.

It seems every 10 seconds I have to login regardless of what I'm doing

What's the value of the item you want to sell? It has to be under your selling limit.

Hello,

Ok, I phoned eBay and figured it out.

There seems to be some imposed restrictions, even on someone who has been a registered member since Mar 02 2000. I last sold items in 2003 and have only bought 440 items since then, so I was unaware that such a policy would even exist.

I guess back in 2003 eBay was more interested in making as much profit as possible by letting people sell as much as possible.

I just remember all my buyers being very pleased with my communication, fast shipping, packaging, accurate description, courtesy, friendliness, patience of late payments, etc.

Except for one buyer who took 30 days to pay and that was back when you could list many items and was I able to handle 200 at once.

It would just be nice to be able to sell more then 10 at once seeing as I have already proven I am a capable seller.

All this does is limit and restrict the reason I want to start selling items now.

I am out of work and need to clear out a closet of collectables and really need the money to be able to eat and pay rent. That is the exact reason I was selling stuff in 2003 on eBay and was able to survive then because there were no limits on unproven sellers.

Thanks
