Re: March 25 2020 Weekly Session

tyler: With reference to the free shipping offer (.com) for April and May. If we use that after our store allowance is used up, at the end of the offer, will any listings exceeding our store allowance be charged at the regular rate?

Re: March 25 2020 Weekly Session

Hiya.   Any mutterings about corporate standing tall in somehow helping out those with time remaining on their store subscriptions, and either have seen a massive drop in sales or, simply unable to sell due to one of many reasons o' the day??

Re: March 25 2020 Weekly Session

Does anyone know if shipping times to Australia have been effected by the current global situation? I just got a message from a buyer there that they haven't received their parcel 30 days after I shipped it (February 24th).

Re: March 25 2020 Weekly Session

Tyler -  I noticed that store owners have an offer of 50,000 free listings.  Any chance that those of us without stores might get a promo to help us out in these difficult times?

This store owner does not need more "free" listings.  My guess is some/many store owners do not need more neither.  What they do need, is, as mentioned my previous reply in this thread.

Re: March 25 2020 Weekly Session

It is for listings done on .com.  I don't think that store owners on .ca have been officially invited but when I clicked on the activate link, it worked.  There is a thread on the sellers board about it...don't have the link handy.

Re: March 25 2020 Weekly Session

I agree, I don't need 50,000 free listings... I don't even use my 1000 listings with my premium store subscription. There needs to be some kind of financial relief for sellers...

I second and third this suggestion about eBay offering us non-store owner free listings. We all expect sales to drop very low during this time, nothing much we can do to help improve sales especially with postal services disruption, and it would be helpful for us to continue to list items without being charged. I'd be very happy if it's something like 200 free fixed priced listing for both .ca/.com. That's enough for me for a month. Otherwise, I might just choose to stop selling on eBay altogether. There is no point for me to keep paying insertion fees just to keep my listings "alive" and not deleted by eBay if I won't have the sales to support it.

Likewise I hope people with stores can get their store fees deferred. I saw a thread about it but since I'm not a store owner at the moment I didn't look at it in details.

It's for 50,000 free listings, not sure if I will need it, but I accepted just in case.

Re: March 25 2020 Weekly Session

How about temporarily cutting some slack on the one day handling stipulation for top rated sellers?

I'm still having sales daily and certainly would like to reduce my trips to the post office.

Re: March 25 2020 Weekly Session

I have always shipped my items going to the US from Champlain New York because it's about half the price. Now that the border is closed I am unable to ship from there. There are some sellers who can still do this because they have a business so I was wondering if there is anyone in my area (Monteal West Island) that ships from the US and still can. Maybe we can work something out

Global top rated sellers are not required to have 1 day handling. You can change it and still receive the trs badge on .ca and still get the discount.

...we do not need more "free" listings, we need "compensation" to remain open for business, otherwise...

...why bother?!

Thanks I found a place right near me that charges $1 for each package, so I'll try them out tomorrow. They ship daily

Howdy @triber - the insertion fee promotion that runs through this month and all of April would mean that any renewals in May that are above your store allotments would charge an insertion fee. Terms and conditions of that offer here. Thanks!

Hi @snoopwiz - I haven't heard anything other than the billing deferral plan that has been talked about last week. More information is available on that today - check out the announcement board for more detail.
